Xenophobic Makhura blames foreigners for crime in Gauteng

Foreign nationals should start paying for the health services they receive in Gauteng if Premier David Makhura has his way.
Speaking on Wednesday at post-budget discussions, Makhura hit out at foreign nationals, also accusing them of committing crimes.
Makhura stated, "in some specific crimes, specific nationalities are involved, in some specific crimes drugs, violent crimes and murders including cash in transit heists."
Amid applause from some audience members, the Premier said, "it's not xenophobia, we work with that country to say, your citizens are free to come to our country but they contribute to a problem. A particular area of crime."
