Marry Chiwenga's attempted murder trial set for 1 November

The National Prosecuting Authority has set 1 November 2021 as the tentative date for the trial of former 2nd Lady Marry Mubaiwa-Chiwenga who is accused of attempting to murder Vice President General Chiwenga.
Harare magistrate Stanford Mambanje ordered Chiwenga to return to court on the set trial date.
According to state papers, she is alleged to have unlawfully removed the Vice President's medical Intra Venous Giving Set as well as the Central Venous Catheter which was inserted into him as he was battling for his life at a hospital in South Africa causing him to bleed profusely.
Marry denies the allegations.
She is being represented by veteran lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa.
