Professor Jonathan Moyo has once again slammed United Kingdom based telecommunications tycoon Strive Masiyiwa of fleecing his clients through selling his services in exaggerated prices. This was after an image of an Econet Shop in Avondale showed that they sell an iPhone 13 Pro 256GB for US$3975 while Apple retails it for $1099 and an iPhone 12 being sold at Econet for $2197 while Apple sells it for $599.
Commented Moyo on the image, "Only for some people to fall on each other to worship a bondnote billionaire, as if they don't know how he makes his billions!"
When one Twitter user Zimbo@Heart said, "Strive is too advanced for you Jonathan! He is better than you in every way, you should concentrate on fighting ED, that's your level!" Moyo responded , "Of course, fleecing consumers and workers is advanced daylight robbery!"
In 2019, Moyo did a Twitter calling Masiyiwa a bondnote billionaire who stole the Econet hoplding from its original founders.
"As a bondnote billionaire, #StriveMasiyiwa fancies himself as a big fish. But he's in a small pond. Hard currency millionaires in bigger ponds with lots of big fish don't behave like him. It's time the other founders of #Econet got the justice they have been long denied!" Moyo said then.
