Notorious robber nabbed

Police in Mashonaland Central arrested a suspected robber who drove a stolen Toyota Hiace before robbing two people of their money and cell phones.
Edson Murambidzi of Nyasano village in Mudzi appeared before the Concession magistrate yesterday.
He was remanded in custody to June 12.
Prosecutor Munyaradzi Nengomasha told the court that on May 30, Murambidzi and his two accomplices who are still at large were driving in a stolen Toyota Hiace registration number AFI 2454 along Bindura- Harare highway when they met Taparadza Ziyenderana who was looking for transport at Sedes farm in Glendale.
They picked him up while inside the vehicle they grabbed him and robbed him of his money and mobile phone before dumping him in the bush.
On the same date, they used the same modus operand in Concession on John Nduru (45).
After the robbery, they dumped the Hiace but Nduru managed to team up with other residents and managed to apprehend Murambidzi while his accomplices escaped.
