Man rapes daughter (14)

A 33-YEAR-OLD man from Simona farm, Bindura was arraigned before Bindura regional magistrates courts after he allegedly raped his 14 year old daughter.
The father who cannot be named for ethical reasons denied the charge before Bindura magistrate Amos Mbobo.
He was remanded in custody to June 3.
The state led by Clever Nyapfani alleged sometime last year the complainant was left in the custody of her father by her grandmother.
The father sneaked in her blankets and threatened to kill her if she refused being intimate with her father.
He raped her once and she subsequently told her friend that she feared to stay with her father because he raped her.
The friend told her to take her belongings from their home and the two started staying together while waiting for the return of her grandmother.
The grandmother returned in January this year and was told of the rape.
A police report was filed leading to the arrest of the accused.
