Looting spree, as fire razes Harare shopping mall

HARARE - Several businesses have recorded over a million loss when fire gutted one of shopping complexes in Harare's shopping malls along Leopold Takawira street.

Eyewitnesses allege that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuiting and gas explosion emanating from negligence in a Chinese-owned warehouse adjacent to the mall.



Harare's fire department responded late as people concentrate on looting groceries from the debris.
