Harare provincial magistrate
Mrs Lisa Mutendereki has granted Robert Mugabe Jnr bail of US$300 after
the State acknowledged there were no compelling reasons to keep him in
custody.
Mugabe faces charges of unlawful possession of dangerous
drugs. Bail conditions require him to report to police every Friday,
reside at his registered address, and avoid interfering with State
witnesses.
Police arrested Mugabe on 1 October 2025 during a traffic operation along Second Street Extension after he allegedly drove against one-way traffic. A search of his sling bag uncovered two sachets of dagga, rolling paper, and a white dagga crusher, valued at US$30. Mugabe's lawyer argued he posed no flight risk, supporting the bail application.
