Bulawayo's Deaf Gunners FC is appealing for financial assistance to raise US$3,400 to fund their trip to Namibia in April 2026, where they will represent Zimbabwe at an international deaf football competition.
The team earned the honour after emerging champions at the Deaf Unity Football Tournament held in Bulawayo in August, showcasing outstanding skill and teamwork against other local sides.
Deaf Gunners FC now aims to carry the national flag high in Namibia but faces financial challenges in covering travel, accommodation, and tournament fees.
"We are proud to have qualified to represent Zimbabwe, but we need the community's support to make this dream a reality," said a team representative.
