Welshman Ncube mourns MP Moyo death

Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) President Professor Welshman Ncube has joined the Moyo family, Nkulumane constituents, and the nation in mourning the tragic loss of Honourable Desire Moyo, who died in a road accident in Shangani along the Harare–Bulawayo highway.

According to CCC spokesperson Kurauone Chihwayi, Ncube swiftly reacted to the news by rushing to the accident scene, demonstrating his commitment to the welfare of his party members.

"Ncube saw the lifeless body of Honourable Desire Moyo and the four injured legislators — Madalaboy Ndebele, Libion Sibanda, Sethule Ndebele, and Rittah Ndlovu — when he arrived at the scene. He ensured that the deceased was accordingly attended to, and the injured received the necessary medical attention," Chihwayi said.

He described the incident as a moment that showcased President Ncube's leadership and compassion, noting that Moyo was a dedicated and vocal legislator, widely seen as one of the young leaders expected to drive change in Zimbabwe.

"As the CCC family comes together to mourn the loss of their beloved member, they also stand in support and solidarity with the injured legislators and Desire Moyo's family," Chihwayi added.

"The CCC will never be the same, and Nkulumane will be poorer without Moyo. Welshman is devastated by the untimely death of one of the party's legislators."
