Delta Corporation has officially broken ground on a new brewhouse in Belmont, Bulawayo, marking a significant milestone in the city's ongoing industrial revival. The development underscores Bulawayo's gradual resurgence as Zimbabwe's manufacturing hub.

The project comes amid a wave of industrial expansion in the Belmont area, where several major firms are investing in modernising facilities and increasing production capacity. These developments reflect growing investor confidence in the city's economic prospects.

Bulawayo's industrial sector had faced a severe decline in previous years, with multiple companies shutting down or relocating to Harare, resulting in widespread job losses and economic stagnation. However, recent policies under the Second Republic aimed at improving the ease of doing business have supported a steady recovery in the city's manufacturing base.

Delta's investment is expected to generate employment opportunities, stimulate local supply chains, and enhance Bulawayo's position as a centre of industrial activity. The move aligns with the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1), which prioritises a robust domestic industrial base as a key step toward achieving an upper middle-income economy by 2030.

The brewhouse project highlights the city's revival trajectory and demonstrates the potential for targeted investments to drive economic growth, job creation, and sustainable industrial development in Zimbabwe.
