Man in court for pouring beer on neighbour over 'gossip'

PLUMTREE - A 25-year-old man from Plumtree has landed in legal trouble after allegedly pouring beer on his elderly neighbour, accusing her of spreading gossip.
Ebiton Sibanda appeared before Magistrate Joshua Nembaware at the Plumtree Magistrates Court, facing assault charges. The matter was remanded to November 19 for further proceedings.
According to the state, led by prosecutor Sheila Nyathi, the incident occurred on November 21 when Sibanda confronted his 68-year-old neighbour, Sanelisiwe Ncube, accusing her of telling lies to his wife. He then allegedly poured beer on her face before walking away.
Ncube filed a police report, leading to Sibanda's arrest.
