A 23‑year‑old man from Chipinge has been arrested for allegedly fatally stabbing another man during a beer‑drinking spree at Njere Village.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the arrest of Simbarashe Mahanya in connection with the murder of Joshua Sithole, 24, which occurred on 10 May 2026.
According to police, Mahanya allegedly stabbed Sithole with an okapi knife on the jaw, shoulder and chest following a misunderstanding while the two were drinking beer. Sithole later succumbed to the injuries.
Police said investigations into the matter are ongoing.
