Police detectives from the CID Drugs and Narcotics Unit in Bulawayo have arrested a local resident in connection with unlawful possession and cultivation of dagga.
In a statement posted on X, the Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the arrest of Reason Mpande (41) following an intelligence‑led operation.
According to police, detectives conducted a search at Mpande’s workplace, where they recovered loose dagga. Further investigations reportedly led officers to his residence, where they discovered a cultivated field of dagga.
Police said the recovered substances and other evidence form part of ongoing investigations as authorities intensify efforts to clamp down on drug‑related offences.
