The Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe has advertised warning information to motorists, pedestrians and cyclists against festive season accidents in a bid to stop road carnage along the country's high ways.

In a notice the council advised the motorists and traveling public to stop road carnage by  eradicating human error.

"More than 90% of all road traffic accidents crashes are due to human error which includes misjudgement, overtaking, inattention, distraction, speeding, drink and driving, negligence by drivers, pedestrians or cyclists and fatigue," reads the notice. "Defensive driving help eradicate human error. Report dangerous driving and road collision to the council."

Festive season is usually experiencing escalation of traffic accidents in Zimbabwe.
