Prophet TB Joshua's false prophecy

Nigeria's Synagogue Church of Nations (SCOAN) leader Prophet TB Joshua last week suffered a major embarrassment after he falsely prophesied that Democrats candidate Mrs Hillary Clinton would "narrowly win the US presidential election" ahead of Republican candidate Mr Donald Trump.
However, Mr Trump won the November 8 election with a wide margin, becoming United States' 45th president. According to TB Joshua's prophecy, recorded on a video posted on our website, a female candidate (Mrs Clinton), was supposed to win by a slight margin.
The prominent Nigerian preacher announced his prophecy during last week's Sunday service at his mega church in Lagos amid wild cheers from his thousands of followers.

In the video clip taken from his Emmanuel TV channel, TB Joshua claims that he "saw a woman" winning the presidency. Prophet TB Joshua prophesied: "Ten days ago, I saw the new President of America with a narrow win.
The new president will be facing several challenges over many issues including passing bills, attempts to possibly pass a vote of no confidence on the new President. The boat of the new president will be rocked.
"By the way, in order to keep you in suspense, what I frankly saw is a woman."
The prophecy was posted on his official Facebook page – TB Joshua Ministries – and was published on YouTube on November 6th 2016, two days before the US elections.
Interestingly, as the news of Mr Trump's victory filtered through on Wednesday, TB Joshua Ministries pulled down the Facebook post.
The clergyman has over 2,5 million followers on Facebook. However, the video was still trending on YouTube last week.
Prophet TB Joshua also took time to salute Mr Trump, describing him as a "courageous man".
He said, "I want to salute the opposition. A very strong man and courageous. He is my friend because he is very, very courageous. Challenges don't mean anything to him. The more they abuse him, the more he comes out to talk and smile."
"The men of God that said opposite – maybe they saw it 15 days ago," he said. The cleric has a huge following in Zimbabwe with many locals – including prominent politicians and businesspeople – flocking to his church to "receive miracles and deliverance".
TB Joshua is also spiritual father to some local church leaders, including Prophetic Healing and Deliverance leader Prophet Walter Magaya, who from time-to-time visit him in Lagos, Nigeria.
TB Joshua is known for making several controversial prophecies, including the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370, pop legend Michael Jackson's death, ISIS terror attacks in the French capital – Paris – and the death of former Malawi President Bingu wa Mutharika.
Prophet TB Joshua also courted controversy on September 12, 2014, when a SCOAN guesthouse collapsed in Lagos and killed 115 people. The SCOAN blamed the collapse on "a strange aircraft hovering above the building shortly before it fell".
A coroner who investigated the building collapse suggested otherwise, attributing the building collapse to structural failure.
