Highlanders FC Website: What a Shame!

ONE of the reasons why the whole Highlanders Football Club executive must go because they have neglected and or failed to run the affairs of the club satisfactorily causing it to perform, badly is that they cannot even find a person to update a website in 2011 and really in 2012.
Surely, even any serious person in marketing will agree with me that little if any that is serious can be done in the field of marketing of any product, service or brand without an effective and informative website.
Thus the chaps running affairs at Bosso, jointly and severally have dismally failed to sell the Bosso brand beyond the "Club-House" where there is an acute shortage of beer â€" only the Devil knows why? Star Sport visited the Bosso website and saw some shocking omissions, lies and contemptuous misinformation of the unsuspecting public who might waste their time like me visiting the site.
Accordingly find hereunder the reasons why ONLY because of the useless Bosso website, the whole executive is held liable for failing to sell the Bosso brand and must go: Just visit www.highlanders.co.za or www.highlanders.co.zw and you will realize that: The Zimbabwean site www.highlanders.co.zw is not there. Why we are misled by putting it as a reference under contacts page, we wonder.
Under Section headlined: Team â€" there are only four players that were in last year's team and these are Gilbert Banda, Erick Mudzingwa, Bruce Kangwa and Tendai Ndlovu. The rest are either former players or virtually unknown fellows not only at Highlanders FC but anywhere in the soccer fraternity. Strangely this part is the one that is supposed to be present the Bosso real team. For the record the factual position as of Bosso's last provided team is that it had: Gilbert Banda, Rahman Kutsanzira, Innocent Mapuranga, Lewis Matawu, Honest Moyo, Erick Mudzingwa, Graham Ncube, Xolani Ncube, Bekithemba Ndlovu, Ariel Sibanda, Bruce Tshuma, Warren Dube, Bruce Kangwa, Archford Katsande, Simon Munawa, Knox Mutizwa, Tendai Ndlovu and Arnold Tshuma. The website says it is "proudly" sponsored by Dr Maphisa and Partner â€" we trust this is true!
Technical Department: The site says the head of the technical department and coach is Mohamed Fathy. Me, the High Court of Bulawayo and Mines, Minerals and Development minister Obert Mpofu know this is not true. We also know that it is not true that Philani Mabhena is still at Highlanders unless if he is back.
The home ground of Highlanders FC is Emagumeni. Whilst this is not wrong, a reader and potential investor in Trinidad and Tobago does not know what it is because it does not appear in the Zimbabwean map. It does not cost much to just indicate that the home is Barbourfields stadium situated in the city of Bulawayo in Zimbabwe.
Interestingly, the chaps at Bosso do not know who the club's vice chairman is because under the column titled: EXECUTIVE, Elkanah Dube is still the vice chairperson. Someone really has to explain to us what happened to Sikhanyiso Moyo. Besides Sikhanyiso Moyo's post is not subject to any election until end of January 2013.
Then there is the Bosso wall of fame with only â€" Edward Dlamini, Tammy Banda, Doglous Mloyi, Nestai Moyo and Josiah Nxmalo. Ah ah ah....so the likes of Peter Ndlovu, Mercedis Sibanda, Willard Khumalo, Tobias Mudyambanje, Titus Majola, Madinda and Adam Ndlovu, Dumisani Nyoni, Enerst Sibanda, Tapuwa Kapini, Tymon Maleka, Thulani Ncube, Dazzy Kapeya, Noel Kaseke, Johannes Ngodzo, Sizalobuhle Khoza, Gift Lunga Jnr, Honour Gombami and Gilbert Banda were just unworthy for that accolade?
And the club, so says the website under a column titled: Club Honours last became runners up in the 2007 Charity Shield, League and FA Cups. So all people in the Bosso executive who supposedly read the website and propose amendments do not know that Bosso won the 2011 Independence Trophy and were runners up in the BancABC Sup8r? In log standings, as far as the website manager of Highlanders FC is concerned, the league is still on. Bosso has played 24 games, Won 11, Drew 5, Lost 8, With 23 goals, 17 against goals against them, has a difference of 6 goals and a whopping 38 points in the FOURTH position! Amhlophe.
The club only has supporters in South Africa, Bostwana and an unspecified Forum and its unnamed members. A further check of the Forum link will lead anyone no-where!
The website has an online store with fabulously smart regalia unseen no-where and this reporter made two online orders which to date have not been responded to. So just imagine how many sincere buyers like me who want to put the original Bosso regalia have been ignored by whoever is the website store-keeper? Then we hear the rubbish that the club is broke!
Why we are given contact details that virtually do not exist is beyond me and the rest of the Highlanders family. Facsimile number 0912 865 177 has been given as one of the contact details and despite the fact that it could be working Econet should get in touch with the Bosso executive and school them on the fact that the prefix has changed. A person outside Zimbabwe who has no idea that Econet changed their prefix is struggling to get through to this number.
So fellow Bosso voters, do not vote for people who cannot run a website.....
