Mphoko, humble servant of the people

It is human nature to try to demystify the unknown. The challenge is that the more we try to figure out a person, the more we make them even more mysterious. Many a time we try and read people's minds, interpret their words and sometimes their actions and we then conclude that we know them. For some of us who are Christians know that one text has many interpretations, when you think that you have heard it all then another preacher comes up with another sermon that completely changes how you look at it.
I'm writing this way because of how we have received H.E VP Mphoko. He was virtually unknown to many for many years, and some people were surprised when he was appointed. Yet when you look at his history and contribution to the struggle one is surprised where he was all these years? Having met him a couple of times I can conclude and submit that he us truly a humble man. Despite his position and contribution to the struggle, he has never been the person to fight for positions. He has always accepted deployment where the authorities deemed he was needed.
He interacts with the ordinary person on the streets and cares deeply for his people. People must give him a chance and support and they will be surprised. I'm convinced that he will contribute immensely to the lives if the citizenry, and more than his predecessors. Since his appointment he has been visible, working hard time change people's lives for the better. Let us all rally behind the servant of the people.
