Kaizer Chiefs are expected to conclude a deal that will see Zimbabwean, Abbas Amidu, sign for them by the end of the week.
There has been reports that the 21-year-old has already signed for the Soweto giants, but Soccer-Laduma revealed that a deal had not yet been struck.
A source has now explained that the youngster should be a Chiefs player come next week having undergone successful trials with Amakhosi and impressing the technical team.
The youngster has agreed to a two-year deal with a one-year option with Amakhosi and will fly to Naturena with his agent in the week to iron out any final issues and sign the contract.
When Amidu does finally sign for Vladmir Vermezovic's side, he will become the sixth Zimbabwean within the Chiefs ranks and will fill their last foreign spot, with long-time servant of the club Tinashe Nengomasha holding permanent South African residency.
Amidu came through the Aces Academy alongside the likes of Knowledge Musona, Khama Billiat and Lincoln Zvasiya.
