BACK off!
Dynamos is telling off clubs that are keen on scooping their star of the moment striker Christian Epoupa Ntouba.
DeMbare is more than prepared to make sure the Cameroonian footie star stays with them.
"We brought Christian into the country when no one had an idea what kind of a player he was and now that he is doing well at Dynamos we are aware that so many teams have been making enquires on him but let me make it clear that we will fight to keep him here (at Dynamos).
"We are a big institution so naturally when a player performs well for Dynamos there will always be interest in that player from other clubs," said Mubaiwa.
Epoupa is on a three-year contract with Dynamos, according to Mubaiwa.
With a bit of hint in his voice that he had just sounded a bit over protective of the player, the DeMbare boss toned down his mantra.
"Of course if a team is interested in any of our players then they have to do things the right way and approach us formally. We will never stand in the way of our players moving to other teams, be it locally or in foreign leagues.
"If a player is happy with the deal to join another team and the offer on the table is good then as Dynamos we will be happy to release him," he said.
As with most things in life, there is always a BUT.
"But we will not accept peanuts for our players. Our players are not refugees and always deserve good deals," he added.
Epoupa has scored six goals so far for the Harare giants.
But wait a minute.
One of the goals doesn't count because it was scored in the 1-1 abandoned match between DeMbare and Highlanders match at Barbourfields due to crowd trouble.
The result was ultimately decided by a Premier Soccer League disciplinary committee that awarded Dynamos a 3-0 score line.
The other goal against Chapungu in the 4-0 routing of the Gweru-based team that ended prematurely when a goal post collapsed is yet to be decided by the PSL.
