African Economic Empowerment Wealth Fund launched

Global citizen and entrepreneur Darlington Ndava Chiwara is at the forefront of the newly established African Economic Empowerment Wealth Fund. The Wealth fund is set to harness Africa's economic potential while creating the economic kinetics necessary to move Africa forward.
Chiwara is the Executive Chairman of Ravenhill Global a player in the energy, herbal, and commodities space.
He has a background in creating practical solutions to national economic problems. Chiwara was one of the founder members of the legendary Hupfumi kuvadiki which spearheaded economic empowerment for young people in Zimbabwe.
The African Economic Empowerment Wealth Fund is set to be an innovative vehicle that will drive economic participation, beneficiation and create African success stories from youth and women-owned businesses across Africa.
Commenting on the African Economic Empowerment Wealth Fund renowned business strategist and entrepreneur Chad Mhako said "The idea of a wealth fund for Africa sounds exciting especially ahead of AfCFTA. I am keen to see how this idea evolves. I certainly think Africa needs to harness local capital more towards economic prosperity".
Zambian businessman DD Isaac added that "Africa needs to stand together and harness the economic potential of the continent. This Wealth fund is a much-needed vehicle which will help drive Africa forward."
South African entrepreneur Joe Mbambo said, "This is an exciting idea and we look forward to the operationalization of the fund and hopefully SADC governments will embrace the project and support it to the benefit of our people and communities."
The African Economic Empowerment Wealth Fund is set to be officially launched in February 2022.
