Heavy rains poured in Guruve yesterday where the Sungura legend Alick Macheso was performing.
The down pour was severe to the extent that people thought the show would be postponed since the venue Guruve hotel is an open space.
Surprisingly when Macheso arrived at the venue the rains stopped and people started flocking to the venue.
On stage the Shedia hit maker thanked God for bringing rain and said he had the keys to lock the rains.
"We thank God for the rain but as you know we came to work so for now l have locked the rain because l have the keys," Macheso said excitedly.
He was supported by Hosiah Chipanga who did not disappoint as he played his old tunes there by bringing memories to the crowd.
Guruve hotel owner Monica "Mai Mabhena" Chikanda was delighted by Macheso and Chipanga's gig.
"The show was superb and l would like to thank everyone who came since it was our last show with Orchestra Mberikwazvo this year we hope to host him again in 2025," she said.
Today Macheso is performing at Rufaro stadium in the afternoon at Chubuku cup and in the evening he will be in Shamva, Mashonaland Central province.
