A FARMER and his wife were tied-up, assaulted and robbed at their property in Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal yesterday, paramedics said.
Daily Sun reported that Netcare911 spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said the robbers pistol-whipped the man, who was in his late 50s, and the woman, who was in her 40s, on their heads.
After the robbers left the couple freed themselves. Paramedics later took the two to a nearby hospital.
Provincial police spokesperson Brigadier Jay Naicker said two of the suspected robbers were arrested after they fled the scene. He said police suspected that there were more robbers.
They allegedly stole firearms and money from the couple. The firearms and some of the money, along with a gun belonging to one of the alleged robbers, were recovered by police.Source - Daily Sun
