Duo nabbed with illicit goods worth R25 000

Two men appeared in the KwaNgwanase Magistrate's Court after police reportedly recovered counterfeit goods in their possession valued at R25 000.
The male suspects (34 and 36 years old) were arrested in Thengani, KwaZulu-Natal.
The Durban Flying Squad Narcotics Task Team were doing their operational duties in the area when they received information about a vehicle carrying counterfeit goods.
The team spotted the vehicle with the two suspects and stopped it.
After searching the vehicle, they reportedly found bags of illicit goods, including 23 pairs of Nike footwear, 15 pairs of All Star takkies and 129 pairs of Adidas takkies.
The two suspects were placed under arrest and charged with possession of counterfeit goods.
They are currently in custody and will appear in court on Monday for their formal bail applications.
