Couple dies in car accident
A couple died on the spot on Friday after a donkey cart they were driving was hit by a car along the Lobatse-Kanye road.
The Voice reported that 79-year old man and his 59-year old wife had been travelling from the cattle-post with their two children when the accident occurred.
According to Assistant Superintendent Enest Sesenyi of Sejelo police, the two died on the spot when their donkey cart was hit by an Audi vehicle.
Sesenyi said the children and Audi driver escaped with minor injuries. "The bodies are still waiting to undergo post-mortem at Princess Marina Hospital and investigations into what could have caused the accident are ongoing," said Sesinyi.
He advised motorists to observe road signs and avoid over-speeding, especially at night.
