Today marks the 12th anniversary of Mzanzi's music legend, Brenda Fassie!
She died on 9 May 2004 in her sleep at Sunninghill Hospital.
Daily Sun reported that Brenda was a controversial person, a diva, a hit-maker, a star and she managed to capture the hearts of many South Africans.
A book has been published called I'm Not Your Weekend Special by Bongani Madondo that pays as tribute to Mabrrr. The book traces the highs and lows of Brenda Fassie's life, celebrating the significance of this South African icon.
