The MDC-T deputy Secretary general Tapiwa Mashakada has announced that one of the founding members of the MDC who went to exile after his brother was murdered by suspected Zanu-PF thugs has earned a doctorate in the United Kingdom and becomes one of the learned MDC leaders.

"Congratulations are in order. One of the mdc founders Elliot Pfebve is now a holder of an earned doctorate. Dr Pfebve is now a leading academic in the UK where he was forced into exile after his brother was murdered in cold blood by Zanu-PF thugs in 2000 in Mashonaland Central," Mashakada said.

"Dr Pfebve is credited with taking MDC to the then Zanu PF stronghold of Mash Central. After our inaugural congress at the Acquatic Centre in Chitown in 2000 Dr Pfebve was elected into our 1st National Executive. Currently Dr Pfebve is the MDC-T representative to the Uk and Ireland as well as our Special Envoy to the EU in Brussels. He also teaches and researches at top UK Universities. Well done leader Dr Elliot Pfebve of the MDC-T."
