A Harare magistrate on Friday granted a peace order against a widow who is accused of being abusive by her in-laws.
Nester Dziripi from Mbare said her brother in law, Patrick Marenga, and his relatives also want to evict her from her house.
"I am the one who is being abused your worship. They steal from me and accuse me of having a child out of wedlock," she submitted.
"They are trying to chase me away from the house that we built together with my husband.
"My brother in law walks around the neighbourhood claiming that I am a prostitute."
Marenga, who was seeking a peace order, denied the charges and accused Dziripi of being abusive.
Magistrate Mashavira granted Marenga the peace order.
She ordered Dziripi to maintain peace with Marenga and his relatives.
