Bulawayo Chiefs FC 0-0 Highlanders FC
Highlanders endured another disappointing outcome, extending their winless streak to six games as they settled for a goalless draw. Despite having better chances during the match, fans expressed their frustration by leaving five minutes before the final whistle.
Nevertheless, Highlanders' loyal fanbase showed unwavering support, turning up in numbers despite the rainy weather. The rain had little impact on the day's result.
The team was forced to make an injury-enforced substitution after only 13 minutes of play when Brighton Mhanhire was stretchered off and replaced by Gillian Nyathi, who delivered a decent performance.
Highlanders' best opportunity came three minutes before halftime when Washington Navaya missed an open net after rounding the Chiefs' goalkeeper, sending his effort over the crossbar.
Shortly after halftime, Chiefs came close to breaking the deadlock as Billy Veremu's curling shot struck the underside of the crossbar and bounced back into play.
In the 60th minute, Archford Faira delivered an inviting cross from the left, but there were no takers in the box.
Nine minutes later, Rahman Kutsanzira headed Marvelous Chigumira's corner kick effort wide.
From that point, both teams struggled to threaten in front of goal, ultimately settling for a point.
