Pumula South man in court for brutal knife attack on pregnant wife

A 27-year-old man from Pumula South, Bulawayo, has appeared in court following a violent knife attack on his 21-year-old pregnant wife, which left her hospitalised with multiple injuries.
According to court proceedings, the couple had a domestic fallout on August 17, prompting the woman to leave their matrimonial home. On August 20, the accused allegedly tracked her down and convinced her to return - only for the reconciliation to end in a horrific assault.
Upon arriving home, an argument reportedly erupted. The man is said to have pulled out a kitchen knife and stabbed his wife multiple times across her body.
He allegedly went further, kicking her stomach repeatedly while wearing boots, despite knowing she was pregnant.
The woman survived the attack and was rushed to hospital, where she received treatment for stab wounds and internal injuries.
A police report was filed, leading to the husband’s arrest. He has since appeared in court to face charges related to the assault.
