Prophet features in 'Blood Money'

POPULAR Dangamvura-based prophet, Madzibaba John Karembera of the Johane Masowe Yechishanu Yenyenyedzi Nomwe has ventured into the movie industry by producing a potential blockbuster movie titled Blood Money due to be premièred late this year.
According to Manica Post, Madzibaba, a staunch Zim-dancehall fan, is currently riding high with his debut gospel album titled Chegumi. Seven tracks on the album are Tinokutendai Mwari, Ndine mubvunzo, Vana vevaporofita, Tariro uone, Mwari wakanaka, Wapinda muchurch and Mazano a Satan.
Besides exorcising demons, prophesying and healing, Madzibaba has shown that he can be a master of all trades. In an interview, the soft-spoken artiste revealed that the forthcoming movie will unleash get-rich-quick formulas some bogus prophets are now employing . He said the movie would feature veteran musician Hosiah Chipanga.
"We are working on several projects this year including a movie titled Blood Money. It is an enthralling film that tackles on several themes such as deceptive ways some prophets are now devising to lure people and get more money. I will not divulge much but the movie will feature prominent artistes in the country such as Hosiah Chipanga," he said.
The 35-year prophet owns a recording stable, Big Jokar in the sprawling suburb of Dangamvura. Budding Zim-dancehall artistes such as Peter Gunz, Diamond kid, Vendor Boss, DJ Franco, Ras Gucci, Abel T, She Tiger and Café have so far recorded hits under the stable.
He hosted a successful talent show on April 9 which was aimed at scouting exceptional talent from upcoming dancehall musicians.
