In a sudden twist of events, business tycoon  Mutumwa Mawere has accused former G40 Kingpin Professor Jonathan of being part of a cabinet committee that was setup to look into the Shabani Mashaba Mines in 2004.

Mawere was reacting to Prof. Moyo's tweet yesterday where he condemned the Act of parliament that was used to grab Shabani Mashaba Mines from Mawere.

Posting an article called Prof. Jonathan Moyo exposed on his role in the SMM heist on Twitter, Mawere captioned it: "Professor Jonathan Moyo, who was the Minister of Information and Publicity in 2004, and was alleged to be part of the Tsholotsho gang, has surprising said that the introduction of the Reconstruction Act was instigated by President Mnangagwa, who he how calls a bush lawyer notwithstanding the fact that at the time he would have killed to have him assume the position of Vice President and successor to former President Mugabe."

Mawere further said, "Would you expect him Prof. Jonathan Moyo to be honest on his alleged complicity or just to fudge what is not convenient to him?"

Prof Moyo was prompted to respond and said, "This thing of making every issue into complicity or not, friend or foe, innocent or guilty is one reason why, in my view, Zimbabwean discourse often goes nowhere. I was asked a question and I answered it without prejudice. Now the issue must be about me. Good day!"

Prof. Moyo was referring to a tweet yesterday where he was asked by a Tweeter used what he thought about The Reconstruction of State Indebted Companies Act of 2004 and he said, "I think it was a diabolic and spiteful piece of legislation conceived by Patrick Chinamasa at Mnangagwa's instigation to target Mutumwa Mawere. Of all the lawyers I worked with in government and  ZanuPF, I found Mnangagwa a bush lawyer and Chinamasa a Rhodesian lawyer with no sense of justice!"

Mawere concluded ,"I get your point about Zimbabwean discourses not getting anywhere. However, imagine if you had verbalized your position in 2004, do you not think that the SMM coup would not have been repeated in Nov 2017 with you as the victim?"
