Gomwe distrupts ZANU PF registration at Apostolic shrine

ZANU PF official for Harare province  Godfrey Gomwe has been accused  of disturbing a party registration  exercise in Budiriro yesterday. 


Gomwe felt belittled after party provincial  members went to carry out the exercise  at Madzibaba Enock's Apostolic shrine without informing him.

The party delegation has been camping at the shrine for two days issuing party cards to the congregants. 

Johane Masowe echishanu eNyenyedzi church spokesperson Madzibaba Kudakwashe Mvuma said the exercise  was going on smoothly only to be disturbed by the violent Gomwe.

"The exercise was going  on smoothly  for the past two days our congregants  were joining willingly the ruling party but Gomwe called and threatened  both the congregants  and the officials  to stop or risk being assaulted by his bouncers," Mvuma said.

"His argument is we were supposed to inform him hence he felt belittled but these are provincial  members and he is a district member hence he should not question  provincial  members," he added.

Contacted for comment Gomwe rudely said the matter had nothing to do with journalism.

"How do you come in, on this matter, l have no comment get it from those who gave you the story," he said before hanging up.

Gomwe is well known for violence in the party and has pending issues in magistrates courts for violence.
