'Voter registration campaign for youth successful in Makokoba'

MAKOKOBA legislator James Sithole has said the campaign for youth to register to vote in his constituency recently yielded great success as many of them complied.

Sithole said they managed to secure more youths for the campaign.

"The different organisations that were invited by the Makokoba Multi-stakeholders Forums (MMF) on the second of March managed to convince a number of youth to partake in the voter registration education campaign," he said.

Sithole said they also realised that another reason why many youths fail to register to vote is because they have no National Identity cards and their solution to this is they are going to engage the birth and ID registrar to assist.

He said he has hopes that for the second phase that is going to happen in April Bulawayo is not going to have a low turnout.
