Electrical cable thief bashed to death

A suspected electrical cable thief from Budiriro, Harare was fatally assaulted by four men at Mukaradzi mining site in Mount Darwin yesterday.
Hillary Bhenge (37) of house number 371820, Budiriro died on the spot after being assaulted by Greator Chinembiri and three others.
Acting Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Sergeant Major Samuel Chikasha confirmed the murder case.
"I can confirm that we are investigating a murder case where Bhenge died after being assaulted by four men in Mount Darwin yesterday," Chikasha said.
"We have since apprehended one suspect Chinembiri while his accomplices are still at large."
It is further alleged that the quartet assaulted the now deceased with wooden sticks and a fan belt.
They dumped the body near a dumping site and went away.
Police warned people to shun violence and surrender any suspects to the police.
