The Airports Company of Zimbabwe (ACZ) has introduced more services for travellers, including partnering with internet service provider Dandemutande, to provide free wi-fi hotspot internet services at the country's major airports.
Posting on its social media platforms - Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, the ACZ said the wi-fi service was already in place at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport and was being extended to Victoria Falls International Airport and Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport.
ACZ operates a network of eight airports strategically located around the country, providing access to the country's tourist resorts and trade areas.
Besides the three major international airports, ACZ operates Charles Prince Airport for light aircraft near Harare, Hwange National Park Airport, Masvingo Airport and Buffalo Range Airport mainly service charter operators, while Kariba Airport now has a scheduled service.
Plans are afoot to establish three more airports in Gweru, Beitbridge and Mutare.
In September 2021, Dandemutande collaborated with Facebook to launch public wi-fi connectivity services in Zimbabwe.
This saw the delivery of affordable and easily accessible public internet connectivity to cities and towns around the country.
This has since been rebranded to Uspot.
