Army boss kills maize thief

Zimbabwe National Army Brigadier General Hebert Chingono has been implicated in the murder of a maize thief.
The matter came to light at Concession magistrates courts yesterday where Chingono together with his accomplice Shadreck Makoloma appeared before Concession magistrate Charity Maunga on Wednesday.
The duo was granted bail to October 30 after the Chief public prosecutor consented
The state led by Munyaradzi Nengomasha alleged on August 27 Chingono took the now deceased Moses Murimba (51) who was employed by the Chingono as a security guard to another guard Makoloma in a bid to interrogate him on the stolen maize.
Makoloma took turns with Chingono to assault Murimba with pipes.
They assaulted him all over the body and he was seriously injured.
Murimba was taken to Concession Hospital where he was transferred to Bindura hospital for further treatment.
The victim succumbed to injuries the following day.
