Illegal gold miners trapped

Two illegal gold miners who were panning for gold in Shamva were trapped on Sunday after the shaft curved in.
Tanatswa Mutsau (25) died on the spot while Bright Chidzanga (31) cheated death.
Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the case.
"I can confirm a sudden death case by trapping in Shamva where one person died after being trapped," Mundembe said.
Allegations are that Mutsau's whole body was trapped while Chidzanga was trapped in halfway and he cried for help.
Benard Mudapakati heard the cry and teamed up with other miners and managed to retrieve the two.
Chidzanga was unconscious when he was removed and the two victims were rushed to hospital.
Mutsau was confirmed dead while Chidzanga was discharged two days after.
Police warned miners to practice safe mining methods.
