A 53-YEAR-OLD is in trouble after he stole his auntie's two cattle and sold them to a businessman.
Victor Ndlovu failed to manage his deal after he was sold by his neighbour Aribu Phiri whom he refused to pay when the deal had materialised.
Phiri alerted the complainant Stembeni Phiri that her niece was the culprit.
The matter came to light at Plumtree magistrates courts where Ndlovu was sentenced to nine years behind bars by magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
Prosecutor Selestine Madziwa told the court that on May 19 the convict stole a bull and an ox from his auntie's kraal and sought the assistance of Phiri to drive the loot.
Nkomo contacted Dumisani Tshuma who agreed to buy the cattle at ZAR 14000 and part of the payment was done.
A proof of payment was produced and Nkomo and Phiri went away.
The duo did not agree on sharing the money and Phiri alerted the owner of the cattle.
A police report was filed leading to the arrest of Nkomo.
