Cont Mhlanga's widow dies

IT has been a year since the arts sector mourned the death of arts guru, Cont Mhlanga and now, his survivor and widow, Thembi Ngwabi, has died, a family member has confirmed.

Wenzile Mhlanga said the late thespian, dancer, actress, and bass guitarist succumbed to an illness.

"Ngwabi is no more. She was ill for quite sometime," she said.

Ngwabi, an exceptional actress rubbed shoulders with Hollywood greats such as Morgan Freeman and Denzel Washington after appearing in movies such as "World Apart" and "Cry Freedom" back I the day.
