11 Jun 2024 at 01:11hrs | Views
The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) marked its 14th anniversary by launching a campaign to digitalize all magistrates courts nationwide.
This initiative aims to improve access to judicial information for stakeholders and the public. While phases 1 to 3 of the Integrated Electronic Case Management System (IECMS) focused on superior courts, phase 4 will extend to magistrates courts, starting in January 2025.
Chief Magistrate Faith Mushure announced the plan, emphasizing the goal of ensuring efficient and transparent justice for all Zimbabweans.
Since its establishment in 2010, the JSC has worked to expand access to courts and judicial services across the country, including in previously underserved areas.
The commemorations also involved interactions between JSC members and the public, addressing questions about court processes.
