Zimbabwean football star Khama Billiat is reportedly on the verge of a move to newly-promoted Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) side, Scottland FC, as his contract with Yadah FC nears its expiration in December.

Billiat, the 33-year-old forward, joined Yadah FC in February on a 10-month contract, which is set to expire at the end of this year. Recent reports suggest that the celebrated player, who is one of the most prominent figures in Zimbabwean football, is unlikely to renew his contract with Yadah.

In a video that surfaced online, Billiat was seen bidding farewell to his Yadah FC teammates after their last league match, further fueling speculation about his exit. Sources close to the player have confirmed to NewZimbabwe.com that he is making the move to Scottland FC, a club newly-promoted to the PSL.

"Khama is now leaving the club. He is going to Scottland. Remember when he joined Yadah, Scott (Pedzisai Sakupwanya) was the one who facilitated the move, so now that he has a club in the PSL, Billiat is going there," said an anonymous source close to the situation.

Billiat, who currently earns a monthly salary of US$5,000, is the highest-paid player in the PSL. His impressive performances for Yadah FC this season have earned him recognition as one of the finalists for the 2024 Soccer Star of the Year award. In doing so, he has made history as the first Yadah FC player to be nominated for such an accolade.

Despite Billiat's strong showing, including a total of 13 goals, he missed out on the Golden Boot, which was won by Highlanders' Lynoth Chikuhwa, who scored 17 goals. Nonetheless, Billiat's contribution to Yadah FC has solidified his reputation in Zimbabwean football.

In addition to his club success, Billiat has also impressed on the international stage, rejoining the Warriors following his return from international retirement in September. His form for the national team has drawn attention, with Tanzanian publication Young Africa reporting that the player is also being monitored by top Tanzanian club Young Africa, further highlighting his value on the African football scene.

As Billiat prepares for the next chapter of his career, football fans are eagerly awaiting confirmation of his move to Scottland FC and what it will mean for his future in Zimbabwean football.
