Zimbabwean model Amanda Peresu-Moyo has been crowned Miss Intercontinental Africa at the prestigious Miss Intercontinental pageant held at the Sunrise Remal Resort in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, on Friday night.

This victory comes just a year after Amanda reached the top eight in the Miss Universe Zimbabwe competition, showcasing her steady rise in the world of pageantry.
Speaking after her win, Amanda expressed her delight, saying, "I am shocked and excited at the same time. I have brought this home."
The overall Miss Intercontinental crown was awarded to Puerto Rico's Maria Cepero, who triumphed over more than 50 contestants from across the globe. This victory is Puerto Rico's fourth in the competition's history, with previous wins by Elizabeth Robinson in 1986, Maydelise Columna in 2010, and Heilymar Rosario Velasquez in 2016.
Amanda's achievement is a significant milestone for Zimbabwean pageantry, inspiring future models and adding another chapter to the country's successes on the international stage.
