Plumtree man bashes woman after being turned down

A violent 35-YEAR-OLD Plumtree man was dragged to court after assaulting and damaging a woman's dish in a foiled love proposal.
Lesson Moyo appeared before magistrate Joshua Nembaware facing two charges malicious damage to property and assault.
He pleaded guilty to both charges, on assault he was slapped with a $200 fine while on malicious damage he was sentenced to 210 hours of community service.
Prosecutor Selestine Madziwa told the court that on August 14, 2022, Moyo visited the complainant at her place and proposed love.
He was turned down and he became furious saying the complainant had too much pride.
He became violent and assaulted her with a 20-litre tin full of oil before damaging her dish.
