ZANU-PF's United Kingdom District has donated a consignment of modern technological equipment to the party in a gesture aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the revolutionary party's administrative functions.

The equipment, which includes computers, printers, a photocopier, and scanning machines, was officially handed over to ZANU-PF Secretary-General Dr Obert Mpofu during a ceremony attended by senior party officials. The UK-based delegation was led by District Chairman Xavier Zvavare.

Speaking at the handover, Zvavare commended the party's leadership for championing people-centred policies, adding that it was the responsibility of party members, both at home and abroad, to play a role in sustaining and strengthening the organisation.

"It is the duty of party cadres to ensure the party is supported and provided with the resources needed to operate effectively on a daily basis," he said.

Zvavare explained that members of the UK district had pooled resources to purchase high-quality laptops and printers equipped with the latest technology to meet the demands of a modern political organisation.

"These devices come with wireless and Bluetooth capabilities, enabling our party officials to use them seamlessly during outreach and mobilisation efforts," he noted.

Beyond their core functions, the equipment also allows for the secure handling of confidential information, with advanced scanning and document transmission features that facilitate professional and efficient communication within the party.

Receiving the donation, Dr Mpofu expressed gratitude to the UK district for what he described as a timely and strategic contribution to the party's work. He said the equipment would significantly boost the party's administrative capabilities and ensure improved service delivery at all levels.

"This support is not only symbolic of the unity and commitment of our diaspora members but is also practical in advancing the efficiency of our internal systems," said Dr Mpofu.

The gesture by the UK District underscores the growing role of the ZANU-PF diaspora structures in supporting party activities back home, as the ruling party continues to modernise its operations in line with emerging technological demands.
