Zimbabwe businessman dies by suicide
4 hrs ago | Views

A well-known Bulawayo businessman has died by suicide, sparking shock in the local community and raising concerns about mental health pressures faced by entrepreneurs.
The man, whose name is being withheld at the request of his family, was found dead at his residence on Sunday. Police confirmed the incident, saying investigations are ongoing but no foul play is suspected.
Friends and colleagues described him as a hardworking individual who had recently been struggling with financial difficulties. "He was under immense pressure. The economy has been unforgiving, especially for small businesses," said one associate.
Mental health professionals say the case highlights the need for more support systems for entrepreneurs. "Business owners often carry silent burdens. Society must encourage open conversations around mental health," said psychologist Dr. Nomsa Dube.
Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
