Elvis Moyo stripped of EFC heavyweight title

In a dramatic turn of events just hours before one of the most anticipated bouts of the year, Zimbabwe's Elvis "Bomber" Moyo has been stripped of his EFC Heavyweight Championship after failing to make weight for his clash against Democratic Republic of Congo contender Matunga "Triple H" Djikasa.

The title fight, scheduled for Thursday night, will still go ahead but will now be contested as a vacant championship bout. Only Djikasa will be eligible to claim the belt should he win.

Moyo, one of the most experienced fighters in the Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC), weighed in at just over the 265-pound heavyweight limit, exceeding the threshold by roughly 800 grams.

EFC officials confirmed the decision, noting that while the overage was minimal, championship regulations are strict and must be applied consistently. The forfeiture of his title was therefore automatic.

The development has stunned fans who had been anticipating Moyo's title defence in what was billed as a high-stakes showdown between two of the promotion's most powerful heavyweights.
