Woman catches hubby 'violating' daughter

A Bikita woman allegedly caught her husband (30) raping their nine-year-old daughter after she had left the house to get vegetables from a garden outside the house.
The husband is now facing a rape charge at Chiredzi Regional Court. The matter is before Magistrate Judith Zuyu, who remanded the accused to next Wednesday for trial.
The incident happened on July 5, 2025, and it is alleged that the woman caught her husband on top of their daughter.
Circumstances are that the woman went to get vegetables from a garden and left her husband in the house. Their daughter was sleeping.
The accused allegedly sneaked into bed and began raping his daughter. His wife returned and allegedly found him on top of their daughter.
It is not clear how far the garden is from the homestead.
The woman filed a Police report, and the accused was arrested.
