DJ Bruce Masomere dies in highway crash

The family of the late DJ Bruce Masomere has announced that he will be laid to rest on Monday at Glen Forest Cemetery in Harare.
Masomere, who died in a car accident along the Harare–Masvingo highway on September 27, 2025, was widely known in entertainment circles.
Family spokesperson and uncle to the deceased, David Masomere - popularly known as "DJ wenyika" - said the body will be taken from Nyaradzo Funeral Parlour in Masvingo to Chitungwiza Unit N on Sunday, where mourners will gather to pay their last respects.
He also expressed the family's gratitude to Presidential Advisor Paul Tungwarara, who assisted with burial arrangements and is expected to attend the funeral.
"We appreciate the monetary support from Paul Tungwarara, who has been instrumental in helping us with the burial arrangements. We are grateful for his kindness and presence at the funeral," David Masomere said.
Masomere's passing has left a void in Zimbabwe's entertainment industry, where he had made his mark as a vibrant DJ and cultural figure.
