Fastjet Zimbabwe has expanded its domestic flight network with the launch of a new route linking Bulawayo to Victoria Falls.
The service, which operates four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, is expected to provide greater convenience for both business and leisure travellers. The airline is deploying its modern Embraer fleet on the route, offering passengers a comfortable and seamless flying experience.
Fastjet Zimbabwe spokesperson Nunurai Ndawana said the initiative would significantly boost tourism in the region.
"The new Bulawayo to Victoria Falls flight strengthens our presence in Bulawayo and shows our commitment to the development of tourism in the region. Our four times a week flights offer more travel opportunities and support both leisure and corporate travel between the two cities, reaffirming our position as a key airline partner in connecting the Matabeleland region," he said.
Chief Commercial Officer Vivian Ruwuya described the launch as a milestone for both the airline and the country.
"We have been closely monitoring the development and traffic trends between the manufacturing city of Bulawayo and our tourism hub in Victoria Falls. The introduction of a scheduled service is the result of extensive consultative engagements and collaboration with key players in the industry," she said.
The new flights are expected to stimulate tourism and business activity by improving connectivity between Zimbabwe's second-largest city and one of Africa's most iconic destinations.
This development underscores fastjet Zimbabwe's commitment to strengthening regional connectivity and supporting economic growth through strategic partnerships in the travel and tourism sector.
