Varakashi4ED likens Mnangagwa to Jesus, ...he will be remembered after betrayal by those he fed

The pro-President Emmerson Mnangagwa group Varakashi4ED has sparked controversy after likening the Zimbabwean leader to Jesus Christ, claiming that just as Jesus was betrayed by those he healed and fed, Mnangagwa is being vilified by the very people who benefit from his leadership.
Posting on their X (formerly Twitter) account, Varakashi4ED wrote:
"Do you know that when Jesus was being crucified, the very blind whom He gave sight, the lame whom He made to walk, and even the thousands whom He fed were the ones at the forefront demanding the release of Barabbas? Yet after His death, people began to say, 'Surely, He was the Son of God.'"
They continued: "This same pattern is unfolding in Zimbabwe. Mark my words: President Emmerson Dambudzo @edmnangagwa will be remembered for centuries to come - just as George Washington is revered in the USA, Deng Xiaoping in China, and Mahatma Gandhi in India. Long after he is gone, generations will say, 'He ruled with wisdom.'"
The group claimed that while Mnangagwa is still alive and serving, many choose to criticize him, but will only realise his value once he is gone.
"Only later will they realize what they had and start to cry. This is a prophecy - nyorai pasi," they posted.
However, activist Tatenda Changambika responded sharply, accusing Varakashi4ED of defending corruption and misleading the public.
"Dear @Varakashi4ED, @Varakashi4edW, and your handlers @edmnangagwa, Tagwirei, and Zviganandas - you may quote every verse in the Bible, run to every prophet and n'anga, but none of that will save @edmnangagwa from the inevitable. The 2030 dream and the third-term fantasy will not materialize," Changambika posted.
He added that instead of confronting corruption exposed by figures like General Chiwenga, Dr. Energy Mutodi, and Mukwadi, Varakashi4ED was busy defending it.
"You have become nothing but the PR wing of looters. You are not fighting for the development of Zimbabwe, you are fighting to protect the same corrupt handlers who are destroying it. The people see through your lies," he said.
